About the Author
Marzella Brown has over forty years of educational experience. She was a primary school teacher, reading specialist, and principal. Her passion has always been to help struggling readers and to bring out the gifts and talents of all her students. Ms. Brown was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was part of a large family of eight sisters and two brothers. She loved playing school with her sisters and brothers, and of course, she was always the teacher. Ms. Brown moved to California in 1979 and raised two wonderful children who have inspired her to continue working to help children learn to read.
